Oppo’s Find X10 Pro Max Shrinks the Battery in Europe
Oppo’s first triple 200MP Find X10 Pro Max skips a Pro model and clips on 10x zoom, while Europe gets 7,150 mAh and a €1,799 list price.
Oppo’s Find X10 Pro Max is the first phone with three 200MP cameras, and the European one ships with a smaller battery than last year’s Find X9 Pro. The global pack is 8,000 mAh. Europe gets 7,150 mAh, which is 350 mAh below the 7,500 mAh cell Oppo put in every Find X9 Pro.
The phone went on sale in China on September 24, 2026, after a September 22 unveil, then Oppo staged the global debut on October 21 in Mallorca, Spain. There is still no Find X10 Pro. The Pro Max is the size-and-hardware follow-up to last year’s Pro, with a Max badge, a clip-on 10x kit, and a European list price of €1,799.
No Pro in This Year’s Find X10 Line
China got three phones: the Find X10 E, the Find X10, and the Find X10 Pro Max. Global markets are getting the Find X10 and the Pro Max. The E stays home, and a Pro SKU has not appeared.
Pete Lau, Oppo’s SVP and chief product officer, tied the series to stills and video rather than to a wider ladder of names.

The Pro Max is 161.3 x 76.6 x 8.4 mm and weighs 233g in the light paint or 235g in the others, 9g to 11g heavier than the Find X9 Pro’s 224g body and 0.1 mm thicker than that phone’s 8.3 mm frame. Global Pro Max colours are Titanium Grey and Luna White. China also has Warm Orange. The shell is Crystal Guard glass on both faces, an aluminum frame, and IP68/IP69 sealing.
THE FIND X10 LAUNCH DATES
- September 22, 2026: Oppo unveils the Find X10 Pro Max in China at CNY 6,799 for 12GB + 256GB.
- September 24, 2026: China shipments start.
- October 8, 2026: Oppo confirms a Mallorca event for October 21 at 16:00 CEST.
- October 21, 2026: The Find X10 and Find X10 Pro Max launch outside China. The United States is not on the list.
- October 22, 2026: Oppo’s India store lists a Find X10 series event.
- October 28, 2026: European pre-order discount of €100 or £100 is listed through this date.
The Max name does the work a Pro used to do, which leaves the old Pro sitting on shelves as the cheaper in-house option while this phone argues it is an Ultra that Oppo declined to call Ultra.
What the Triple 200MP Cameras Shoot
The rear module is the first triple 200MP setup on a phone, co-developed with Hasselblad, but the three sensors are not clones. The main camera is Samsung’s new ISOCELL HPC. The 3x telephoto and the ultrawide both use the older ISOCELL HP5. A 24-channel multispectral sensor sits in the island for colour, and Oppo runs the stack through its LUMO True Image Engine.
THE REAR MODULE, LENS BY LENS
| Camera | Sensor | Lens |
|---|---|---|
| Main | 200MP ISOCELL HPC, 1/1.3-inch, 0.6µm | 24mm, f/1.5, OIS |
| Telephoto | 200MP ISOCELL HP5, 1/1.56-inch, 0.5µm | 70mm, f/2.1, 3x optical, OIS, 10cm macro |
| Ultrawide | 200MP ISOCELL HP5, 1/1.56-inch, 0.5µm | 13mm, f/2.2, autofocus |
| Front | 50MP, 1/2.76-inch, 0.64µm | 18mm, f/2.0, autofocus |
Samsung says DeepPix on the HPC, a new pixel stack with deeper isolation and dual transfer gates, gives the sensor 60% more full-well capacity than the last 200MP generation. Oppo puts that at 17 stops of dynamic range and single-frame 16-bit HDR at 1x, 1.5x, 2x, 3x and 4x in-sensor zoom. Default stills land around 25MP from ultrawide through 9.9x, dropping to a 12MP bin in low light, with a 50MP Hasselblad Hi-Res mode at five focal lengths and a fused 200MP file at each native 200MP lens.
All three rear cameras record 8K at 30fps and 4K at 120fps, plus Dolby Vision and LOG. The 18mm selfie is wider than last year’s front camera, which helps groups and hurts tight portraits. Night video and the ultrawide were the strongest parts of one full lab test, in stills and video, day and night. The 200MP count is the billboard. The more useful choice is a tone curve that sharpens and invents less, so the three long sensors are not covering for a pipeline that paints over the scene.
Hasselblad’s 10x Zoom Sits in a Clip-On Kit
The built-in telephoto stops at 3x, or 70mm. Oppo’s Hasselblad Teleconverter Kit screws a 3.28x glass group onto that module and takes optical reach to about 10x. The kit is a lens, a case, a mount that locks the converter to the case, and a lanyard. It is not in the retail box. In China the kit is CNY 1,099. Oppo says it is sold separately elsewhere, with availability varying by market.
Once it is on, the camera app switches to a teleconverter mode and uses only the periscope. Demo crops at 114x are digital zoom and processing on top of that 10x glass, not 114x of optics. Oppo also worked with Tilta on a separate KHRONOS Creator Kit, an aluminum cage with adapters and a small tripod, which pushes the same idea: extra reach and extra grip live in accessories, not in a fourth lens in the island.
The phone has magnets in the back, but they are weak. Oppo’s Quicksand Shimmer Magnetic Case is the practical path to a 22.5W, 5,000mAh UltraSlim magnetic power bank and other snap-on gear. A Max that needs a case to make its own magnets useful is a strange kind of complete package, and it matches the zoom story beat for beat.
7,150 mAh Is the European Cut From 8,000
Oppo’s product page lists a typical 8,000 mAh pack (7,790 mAh rated) and a 7,150 mAh European battery version. Last year’s Find X9 Pro kept 7,500 mAh in every region. Reviewers who received the global unit are therefore testing a different phone from the one European shops will sell, and that split will follow every battery headline this model earns.
BATTERY BY MARKET AGAINST LAST YEAR
| Phone | Typical capacity | Change vs Find X9 Pro |
|---|---|---|
| Find X9 Pro, all markets | 7,500 mAh | Baseline |
| Find X10 Pro Max, global | 8,000 mAh | +500 mAh |
| Find X10 Pro Max, Europe | 7,150 mAh | -350 mAh |
Oppo points to cell limits on air transport for the European cut. Both packs sit far below the 100 Wh passenger threshold that airlines quote for spare lithium batteries, so this is a factory-and-freight choice, not a cabin cap. Silicon-carbon chemistry is how Oppo fits either cell in an 8.4 mm body. Oppo still quotes 80W SuperVOOC wired charging and 50W AirVOOC wireless charging, plus 10W reverse wireless, the same pair as last year. Europe’s box has no charger; the global review unit included the 80W brick.
Independent tests on that global 8,000 mAh unit logged an active-use score of 25 hours 24 minutes, 3 hours 27 minutes longer than the Find X9 Pro’s 21 hours 57 minutes on the same method. A 2nm chip and a 144Hz LTPO panel can claw back some of the 350 mAh Europe lost. They cannot make the European SKU the same phone the charts will cite.
The Dimensity 9600 Pro Lands on a Brighter 144Hz Panel
MediaTek announced the Dimensity 9600 Pro on September 15, 2026, as a first-wave 2nm chip with a 2+3+3 all-big-core layout: two Arm C2-Ultra cores at 4.55 GHz, three C2-Pro cores at 4.35 GHz, and three C2-Pro cores at 3.1 GHz, plus an Arm Mali-G2 Ultra NX GPU. MediaTek claims 17% faster single-core CPU performance and 37% better single-core efficiency than its previous flagship, with multi-core up 15% and 61% more efficient. The vivo X500 Pro Max, unveiled a day before Oppo’s China event, uses the same silicon.
This phone ships with UFS 4.1, not the UFS 5.0 the chip can address. Memory configs run 12GB + 256GB, 12GB + 512GB, 16GB + 512GB, and 16GB + 1TB. Satellite connectivity is listed only on the 1TB + 16GB model.
LAB SCORES ON THE GLOBAL UNIT
- AnTuTu: 4,128,150 in version 11 and 4,278,288 in version 12, against 3,563,384 (v11) on the Find X9 Pro.
- Geekbench: 10,614 in version 6 and 9,657 in version 7, against 9,697 (v6) last year.
- 3DMark Wild Life Extreme: 7,314, against 6,808 on the Find X9 Pro.
- Screen brightness: 2,337 nits measured, against a claimed 800 nits typical, 2,000 nits HBM and 3,600 nits peak, and 1,175 nits measured on last year’s 120Hz panel.
The 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED stays at 1,272 x 2,772 (450 ppi) and now tops out at 144Hz, with 3,840Hz PWM, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR Vivid and BT.2020. Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.2 round out the radios, with an ultrasonic under-display fingerprint reader and an infrared port. The speakers are a step back: -28.2 LUFS in one lab, against -26.6 LUFS (Good) on the Find X9 Pro. Early China owners were already asking how the speakers compared before those numbers posted.
Speakers, Magnets and the Missing Camera Button
ColorOS 17 on Android 17 is new with the phone. Oppo calls the look Living Flow, with glassier lock-screen clocks, notifications and quick settings. AI Mind Pilot can chain tasks from one prompt, such as finding, renaming and sorting files. Those are real software adds. They sit next to hardware Oppo took away.
WHAT THE PRO MAX DROPS OR LIMITS
- Camera button: The hardware camera-centric Quick Button from recent Find phones is gone.
- Speakers: Loudness and tone trail other phones at this price, and they trail last year’s Pro on the same lab scale.
- Charging: Wired peak stays at 80W, which is slower than several current Chinese Ultras.
- Magnets: Built-in magnets are too weak for snap accessories unless you add Oppo’s magnetic case.
- Satellite: Only the 16GB + 1TB model lists satellite support.
- Charger: European retail boxes omit the 80W brick that global units include.
Oppo’s own Find X9 Ultra is still on sale at around €1,500, with two telephoto cameras and faster charging. The Xiaomi 17 Ultra and Galaxy S26 Ultra sit near or under €1,000 in Europe on some configs. The Pro Max has to beat those on the camera and on endurance, because it will not beat them on the till or on the speaker grilles.
Why Europe Pays €1,799 After Last Year’s €1,299
China’s 12GB + 256GB Pro Max is CNY 6,799 (~$1,006). The 12GB + 512GB model is CNY 7,499, 16GB + 512GB is CNY 7,999, and 16GB + 1TB is CNY 8,999. Europe’s listed 12GB + 512GB price is €1,799 in Germany and France and £1,499 in the UK. Pre-orders running through October 28, 2026 take €100 or £100 off, which is how €1,699 and £1,399 appear on offer widgets. Last year’s Find X9 Pro was €1,299 in Europe for 16GB + 512GB.
LIST PRICE, CHINA TO EUROPE
| Market | Config | Price |
|---|---|---|
| China | 12GB + 256GB | CNY 6,799 (~$1,006) |
| China | 12GB + 512GB | CNY 7,499 |
| China | 16GB + 1TB | CNY 8,999 |
| UK list | 12GB + 512GB | £1,499 |
| Germany and France list | 12GB + 512GB | €1,799 |
| Find X9 Pro, Europe, 2025 | 16GB + 512GB | €1,299 |
That is a €500 jump on the European list against a phone that, in Europe, also loses 350 mAh. Memory pricing across the industry is part of the story, and Oppo has not walked the number back. People who already prefer an iPhone 18 Pro Max or a Galaxy S26 Ultra will not be talked off those phones by a third 200MP sensor. People who want this camera will pay, then decide whether the Hasselblad kit is another cheque or a pre-order extra.
European buyers get the Pro Max badge, the first triple 200MP module, and 350 mAh less than last year’s Pro, for €500 more on the list. The 8,000 mAh charts belong to everyone else.
