Ondo Joins DTCC Fund/SERV Without a Named First Trade

Oasis Pro joined DTCC Fund/SERV as the first tokenization platform, a processing pipe into most U.S. fund volume with no named first trade.

Oasis Pro Markets joined DTCC’s Fund/SERV on September 16, 2026, the first tokenization platform on a network that already handles more than 85% of U.S. mutual fund transaction activity. Ondo Finance’s U.S. broker-dealer now has one processing link to fund companies, wealth platforms and service providers that already sit on those rails.

The companies named no fund, no distributor and no date for a first order. The win is a pipe into the back office that books most American fund trades, not a product that appeared on a wealth-desk menu that morning.

Oasis Pro Gets the Same Pipe Wealth Desks Already Use

The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation said Oasis Pro Markets, a U.S. registered broker-dealer and distributor of tokenized investment products, has joined Fund/SERV as a member. DTCC called Oasis Pro the first tokenization member on Fund/SERV, a network it describes as the operational backbone of the U.S. fund industry.

Without that seat, Oasis Pro would have to build a custom hookup for each fund firm it wanted to reach. With it, the firm can send account data, confirmations, distributions and reports through the same standardized connection those firms already use for ordinary mutual fund orders.

Ian De Bode, acting chief executive and president of Ondo Finance, said the firm was excited to be the first tokenization platform inside Fund/SERV, “establishing a direct connection between tokenized funds and traditional fund distributors through DTCC.” He said a single standardized connection lets Oasis Pro transact with fund companies, wealth platforms and service providers without separate integrations, and that a key piece of infrastructure is now in place for tokenized funds to scale.

Ondo posted the same news from its official account on the day of the release.

As financial markets continue to evolve, interoperability between traditional infrastructure and digital asset ecosystems will be critical to achieving scale and broad market adoption. Ondo’s participation in Fund/SERV demonstrates how established industry infrastructure can support the next phase of market evolution by connecting fund innovation with trusted standards, seamless scalability, operational resiliency and industry connectivity.

Talia Klein, Managing Director and Head of Wealth and Investment Solutions, DTCC

Ondo’s own note on the membership repeats that readiness language. DTCC said its subsidiaries processed securities transactions valued at $4.7 quadrillion in 2025, and that its depository arm provided custody and asset servicing for issues from more than 150 countries and territories valued at $114 trillion. Fund/SERV is a narrower service inside that group. It is the messaging and settlement hub between fund companies and the firms that sell those funds.

What Fund/SERV Moves on a Fund Order

Fund/SERV is not a blockchain and it is not an exchange. DTCC’s learning materials call it the U.S. industry standard for processing and settling mutual fund, bank collective fund and other pooled-product trades between fund companies and distributors. NSCC, a DTCC subsidiary, runs it.

The September 16 release listed the jobs Oasis Pro can now run through that hub instead of through one-off file feeds.

WHAT FUND/SERV CARRIES FOR A TRADE

Function What it carries
Account records Account-level data between fund firms and distributors
Trade confirms Transaction confirmations after an order is valued
Reconciliation Matching of activity so both sides close the day on the same numbers
Distributions Fund distribution messages through the same connection
Tax reporting Tax information that wealth platforms already expect from Fund/SERV
Regulatory reporting Regulatory reports that move with the rest of the fund file

Those are the chores that stop a tokenized fund from looking like a normal share class on a wirehouse platform. A wallet can show a balance. A registered investment adviser still needs confirms, tax lots and a distribution file that the rest of the desk already knows how to book.

Six Clients and 15 Orders a Day

Fund/SERV exists because bilateral fund links failed at scale, which is the same problem tokenized funds hit when every wealth platform wants its own feed. DTCC’s forty-year history of the service calls the old web of phone, fax and wire the “Spaghetti Model.”

In the late 1960s, the Street’s paperwork crisis left backlogs so deep that the market closed on Wednesdays so operations could catch up. Two decades later the Investment Company Institute, the National Association of Securities Dealers and a group of funds and firms asked NSCC for one industry model. NSCC switched the system on in March 1986 with six clients processing 15 orders a day.

HOW FUND/SERV GREW INTO THE FUND BACKBONE

  1. March 1986: NSCC launches Fund/SERV with six clients and 15 orders a day, replacing a tangle of bilateral fund links with one centralized order, registration and settlement path.
  2. 1989: Automated Customer Account Transfers come onto the same rails, so fund positions can move when a client changes firms.
  3. 1997: Defined Contribution Clearance & Settlement puts 401(k) purchase, redemption and exchange orders on existing infrastructure.
  4. 2018: MF Info Xchange centralizes time-critical fund notices after Networking, commission files and profile services have already grown around the core trade feed.
  5. 2022: Interval-fund repurchase processing is added, and in 2026 DTCC delivers an automated path for mutual fund to ETF share-class exchanges.
  6. September 16, 2026: Oasis Pro Markets joins as the first tokenization platform member.

DTCC says more than 1,300 clients now rely on Fund/SERV, covering the overwhelming majority of activity for U.S. mutual funds, collective investment trusts, interval funds and more, and that more than $12 trillion moves through the platform each year. Daily average volume reached 47,000 by 1995, passed 275,000 by 2000 and now runs beyond one million. A Fund/SERV trade that cost $0.50 in the late 1980s costs $0.06 now. DTCC says that, adjusted for inflation, clients paid roughly 23 times more per trade in the early years than they do now.

U.S. mutual fund assets stood at $270 billion in 1985. DTCC says they exceed $21 trillion now. The service did not merely keep up with that pile of money. It gave funds and distributors a way to launch products and open accounts without rebuilding a private wire for every new relationship. That is the second-order use of Oasis Pro’s seat. Tokenized funds do not need a new clearing house as much as they need the file format the existing distributors already run.

Oasis Pro’s Licenses Opened the DTCC Door

Fund/SERV membership is a broker-dealer credential problem before it is a blockchain problem. Ondo completed its purchase of Oasis Pro in October 2025, taking in an SEC-registered broker-dealer, a noticed alternative trading system and an affiliated SEC-registered transfer agent. DTCC’s release is explicit that, except for Oasis Pro Markets, no Ondo Finance or Oasis Pro affiliate provides broker-dealer or ATS services.

FINRA’s public file lists Oasis Pro Markets LLC under CRD 149420 and SEC number 8-68164, with Ondo Finance Inc. as owner. The main office is at 1266 East Main Street, Suite 603, Stamford, Connecticut. The firm was formed in Delaware on February 7, 2019, and shows SEC registration dating to August 19, 2009, with zero reportable disclosures and registrations in 53 U.S. states and territories. Pasquale Mario LaVecchia is listed as chief executive, chief compliance officer and managing member of the broker-dealer.

THE LICENSE STACK THAT GOT OASIS PRO IN

  • Broker-dealer: Oasis Pro Markets is an SEC-registered broker-dealer and a FINRA and SIPC member, which is the category of firm Fund/SERV is built to connect.
  • Trading system: The same entity is a noticed alternative trading system for digital securities, a separate permission from the Fund/SERV seat.
  • Transfer agent: Oasis Pro TA LLC is an SEC-registered transfer agent, the recordkeeping role that sits beside distribution when a tokenized interest needs a cap table and shareholder file.
  • July authorizations: On July 23, 2026, Ondo said Oasis Pro had received FINRA authorizations to offer tokenized corporate equities and funds to U.S. institutions and retail investors under SEC and FINRA oversight.
  • Fund/SERV seat: The September membership is the distribution pipe on top of that stack, not a substitute for it.

The Oasis Pro Markets FINRA BrokerCheck record is the public face of that stack. LaVecchia, writing as chief executive of Oasis Pro, called the Fund/SERV seat another first for the firm after earlier firsts on stablecoin payment for digital securities and a three-step settlement process. The parent company’s acting chief executive signed the DTCC quotes. The broker-dealer that actually joined the network still carries LaVecchia’s name on the license file.

The Joint Release Left the First Trade Blank

Read the September 16 text again and the missing line is the one a distribution desk would ask for. There is no CUSIP, no share class, no named wealth platform, no stated go-live window and no promised first-month volume. Membership lets Oasis Pro speak Fund/SERV. It does not put an Ondo tokenized fund on a platform that has not agreed to sell it, and it does not move a tax lot by itself.

WHAT WE KNOW

  • The member: Oasis Pro Markets, Ondo’s U.S. broker-dealer, is on Fund/SERV as of September 16, 2026.
  • The claim DTCC makes: The network processes more than 85% of U.S. mutual fund transaction activity, and Oasis Pro is its first tokenization platform member.
  • The jobs in scope: Account data, confirms, reconciliation, distributions, tax reporting and regulatory reporting can move through the one connection.

WHAT IS UNCONFIRMED

  • The first product: No Ondo fund or tokenized share class is named as live on Fund/SERV.
  • The first counterparty: No wealth platform, fund company or recordkeeper is named as the initial distributor.
  • The first order: No date, size or sample trade is in the joint release, and later public comments still describe the membership rather than a blotter.

That blank is the story the trophy headline skips. A processing permission is useful because it deletes dozens of custom builds. It is still a permission. The test is whether subscription and redemption orders start clearing through NSCC on the same cycle as a Fidelity or Vanguard fund, with the same confirm and the same 1099 path. Until that happens, Fund/SERV is a socket on the wall.

The ONDO token does not sit on that socket. Membership does not give token holders a claim on DTCC flow, and it does not force a wealth platform to buy the token when a client buys a tokenized fund. Product, permission and token are three different files. Only the middle one changed on September 16.

DTCC’s Tokenization Service Is a Different Pipe

DTCC is building a separate service that turns eligible assets held at the Depository Trust Company into tokens that DTC participants can move between registered wallets. That project is not Fund/SERV. Fund/SERV moves messages and money between fund firms and distributors. The tokenization service copies DTC-held securities into a tokenized form and back again.

DTCC ran live production trades of those DTC-held assets on July 15, 2026, and has said it expects to launch the Tokenization Service in October 2026. In December 2025, SEC staff issued a no-action letter that lets DTC offer a defined version of the service for three years. Eligible assets in that design include Russell 1000 stocks, ETFs that track major indexes, and U.S. Treasury bills, bonds and notes. DTC’s custody figure in the May timetable was more than $114 trillion.

Ondo had already been around DTCC’s tokenization working group before the Fund/SERV announcement, so the September seat is not a cold introduction. It is also not a substitute for that other service. A tokenized Treasury sitting in a DTC participant wallet and a tokenized fund order going through Fund/SERV can both be called “tokenization” in a slide deck. They are different pipes, different legal wrappers and different users. Mixing them is how a membership certificate gets sold as a market launch.

De Bode has held the acting chief executive title since founder Nathan Allman died in May 2026, and that is the title DTCC printed on the Fund/SERV quotes. The membership still sits on Oasis Pro’s broker-dealer license, which is the part of the group that can talk to NSCC. For the distributors already on Fund/SERV, the name on the order file will be the member firm, not a governance token and not a working-group logo.

The next figure worth printing is the first Fund/SERV order Oasis Pro actually sends, in a named share class, to a named counterparty. The September 16 release does not contain that line.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who Regulates Oasis Pro Markets, and What Is Its CRD Number?

Oasis Pro Markets LLC is an SEC-registered broker-dealer and noticed alternative trading system, a FINRA and SIPC member, and it files under CRD 149420 and SEC number 8-68164. FINRA’s record shows a Stamford, Connecticut office, formation in Delaware on February 7, 2019, SEC registration from August 19, 2009, zero reportable disclosures, and licenses in 53 U.S. states and territories, with Ondo Finance Inc. as owner and Pasquale Mario LaVecchia as the broker-dealer’s chief executive, chief compliance officer and managing member.

Does Fund/SERV Membership Automatically List Ondo Funds on Wealth Platforms?

No. Membership gives Oasis Pro a standardized connection for account data, confirms, reconciliation, distributions and reporting with firms that already use Fund/SERV, but it does not by itself place a tokenized fund on a platform’s menu or create a selling agreement. The September 16 release named no product, no distributor and no start date, so any listing still depends on separate distribution deals that have not been announced.

How Is Fund/SERV Different From DTCC’s Tokenization Service?

Fund/SERV is NSCC’s hub for mutual fund and other pooled-product orders between fund companies and distributors. DTCC’s Tokenization Service, by contrast, lets DTC participants create tokenized versions of eligible securities already held at DTC, under a December 2025 SEC staff no-action letter that runs for three years, after live production trades on July 15, 2026, and with an expected service launch in October 2026 covering Russell 1000 stocks, major-index ETFs and U.S. Treasuries.

What Did FINRA Authorize Oasis Pro to Offer in July 2026?

On July 23, 2026, Ondo said Oasis Pro may offer U.S. investors access to NMS equities and to fund interests such as ETFs, mutual funds and index funds, plus securities issued in IPOs and traded in secondary markets, with settlement in fiat or supported stablecoins, including wallet-to-wallet. The same authorization supports omnibus account structures so broker-dealers, registered investment advisers and retirement accounts can reach those tokenized securities through brokers they already use.

Until Oasis Pro sends a named order through that hub, the September 16 announcement remains a membership file, not a trade file. The socket is installed. The first confirm is still unprinted.
