Infinix Sells a GT NX Phone Console Kit From RM549
Infinix priced its GT NX Controller and cooling Station at RM549 in Malaysia, a phone-dock kit aimed at markets that will not buy a handheld.
Infinix opened Malaysia pre-orders for the GT NX Controller and GT NX Station, a RM549 pair that docks a phone like a mini console. The brand called the set its flagship gaming kit of the year in a Sept. 24, 2026 statement from Hong Kong, and listed each piece at a RM399 recommended price with a RM299 launch promo.
The pad and the dock are the missing half of the GT phone line. Accounts stay on the handset. The desk kit is what Infinix is actually selling.
Malaysia Puts the Pair on Sale From RM549
Kuala Lumpur got the first public numbers. Each accessory is RM299 on promo, and the online bundle is RM549, which is RM49 below buying both at the promo rate of RM299 each (RM598). Infinix has not named an end date for that cut.
MALAYSIA LAUNCH PRICES
| Product | Recommended price | Launch promo |
|---|---|---|
| GT NX Controller | RM399 | RM299 |
| GT NX Station | RM399 | RM299 |
| GT NX Bundle (both, online pre-order) | – | From RM549 |
Pre-orders run through Infinix stores on Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop, including the Infinix official Shopee pre-order listing. Brand stores nationwide are due to stock the range in early October 2026, while stocks last. Infinix has not posted a US, Europe or India price, and the Sept. 24 statement still points readers at infinixmobility.com for a brand that already sells in over 70 countries.
A Glass Pad Where the Right Stick Usually Sits
Most clip-on pads copy a console layout and hope mobile shooters will accept analogue aim. Infinix built the opposite argument into the GT NX Controller: mobile games were made for fingers on glass, and a standard pad throws that precision away. The company says the controller carries the world’s first Pixel-Level FPS Precision Touchpad in a mobile games controller, a large glass surface that runs swipe input or a mouse-style mode.
Malaysia launch materials put that glass at 1,089mm² and pair it with a Hall Effect thumbstick and triggers. Four-zone independent mapping splits the pad for MOBA skill casts or segmented FPS aim. Mapping mode is also the workaround for titles that never shipped native pad support, which is still most of the mobile catalogue.
Most mobile gaming peripherals available today are fragmented and single-purpose: docking stations only handle video mirroring, cooling fans merely address overheating, and game controllers often come with high latency.
Infinix Mobility, GT NX Series launch statement, Sept. 24, 2026
The first thing people locked onto in the brand post was not Ethernet or RGB. It was the glass slab sitting where a right stick would normally live. Infinix’s global account called it the company’s first gaming controller.

Play modes cover phone clamping, desktop use and portable single-hand play, and the same hardware can run a local two-player versus session. Laser-textured grips are the anti-slip pitch for long matches. That is not a review. It is the shape Infinix chose instead of another DualShock clone.
Three Chips Handle Flicks and Team Fights
Infinix put two chips in the left handle and one in the right, and it calls the link Millisecond-Level Direct Connect. The claim is that a flick shot or a last-second MOBA skill stays on the same clock as the press. Independent tests are not out. The architecture is the bet: split the work so one half of the pad cannot stall the other.
Battery life is rated at 22+ hours of gameplay. Haptics run through XArena at Low, Medium or High. Native mode follows a game’s own vibration. Mapping mode adds cues Infinix wrote for battle-royale loops: a 1-second buzz on aircraft takeoff and on parachuting, plus a 500ms pulse each time the final circle shrinks. That pulse is the specimen. You feel the zone close in your palm instead of hunting a minimap while you aim.
XArena is also the lock-in. Three-level haptics, mapping and those FPS cues live in Infinix software, which is a quiet way to keep the pad more useful on a GT phone than on a random USB-C handset. A reviewer can still plug it into something else. The full rumble script is written for the house app.
The Dock Cools the Phone While It Plays on HDMI
The Station is the piece clip-on rivals do not sell. Infinix calls it the industry’s first docking station with integrated TEC cooling, a fold-out thermoelectric plate that sits on the phone and pumps heat off the chassis so the SoC is less likely to throttle. TEC here is a small electric cooler, not a clip-on fan. Infinix says a single unit replaces a cooling back clip, a video adapter and a network dongle.
The launch copy frames the job as transforming a smartphone into a portable gaming console by tying control, cooling, display output and ports into one workflow. HDMI carries Mirror or Extend to a screen that already has an HDMI input. Mirror copies the phone. Extend puts the game on the monitor or TV while the handset stays free for a guide, a chat, or a black screen that cuts heat and power draw.
NINE PORTS ON THE STATION
- HDMI: Game output to a monitor or TV in Mirror or Extend.
- RJ45 Ethernet: A wired link Infinix says avoids packet loss on busy Wi-Fi.
- USB-C PD input: Powers the dock and pass-through charging so the phone stays on.
- USB-C host cable, extra USB-C, two USB-A: Keyboard, headset dongle or a drive.
- microSD slot and 3.5mm jack: Storage and a wired headset without a dongle hunt.
Dynamic RGB lighting is the esports dress. The useful parts are the cooler, the Ethernet jack and the chance to shut the phone display while the match runs on a TV. That is a docked-console loop built around a handset that already holds the account.
Which Phones Can Mirror to a TV?
The word universal in the Extend and Mirror pitch does not mean every USB-C phone. Infinix’s own disclaimer is narrower, and it is the part of the launch that will decide whether this kit is a GT accessory or a generic dock.
WHAT WE KNOW
- Infinix path: Selected Infinix phones on XOS 16.3 or newer get Extend and Mirror.
- Native DP path: USB-C Android and iOS devices with native DisplayPort output can use the same modes.
- Screen rule: The external display must offer an HDMI input.
- Other Android: Phones without native DP need a driver installed through the dock, and results still depend on the handset, the software and the screen.
WHAT IS UNCONFIRMED
- Model list: Infinix has not published a full roster of “selected” XOS 16.3 devices.
- iPhone cut-off: Native DP over USB-C is not named by model in the disclaimer.
- Global SKUs: No confirmed price or date outside Malaysia’s pre-order window.
A YouTube teaser on Sept. 22, 2026, from the Infinix Mobile channel, already had viewers asking for an India launch. The official post drew the same wish in replies. Until a local store listing appears, that demand is ahead of the paperwork.
Keep the Saves on the Phone You Already Own
Infinix’s closing pitch is blunt: gamers already keep accounts and saves on the phone, and they should not have to jump to a console or a PC to get physical controls and a big screen. The GT NX pair is built to sit next to GT-series phones, with the GT 50 Pro the current gaming flagship in that line. The phone already carries liquid cooling of its own. The Station adds a second cooling layer at the desk. The controller is the bit you take outside.
Western clip-ons still own the simple job of putting buttons around a phone. A Hall Effect clip-on listed at $79.99 on GameSir’s US store is a wired Type-C pad with pass-through charging and no TEC plate, no HDMI dock and no Ethernet jack. It is a fair rival for the controller half. It is not a rival for the Station.
Dedicated machines still win on raw silicon. Anyone shopping this year’s dedicated Windows handhelds is buying a second computer, not a clamp and a dock. Infinix is aiming at the buyer who will never write that cheque and who already has a GT phone, a ranked mobile ID and a TV with HDMI. The Malaysia bundle at RM549 is the number that makes that bet concrete. The asterisk is XOS 16.3, native DisplayPort, and a global price list that still is not on the page.
