The Pixel 11’s $150 Prime Day Cut Follows an Old Script

Amazon cut the Pixel 11 to $749 just 47 days after launch, the same October window that first discounted the Pixel 9.

Amazon cut the unlocked Google Pixel 11 256GB to $749 on October 6, $150 below the $899 list Google set when the phone went on sale August 20. That 17% markdown arrived 47 days after launch, in the same October Prime Big Deal Days window that first put cash off a new Pixel 9.

Google’s own store is only $100 off, at $799, so Prime members pay $50 less than shoppers who stay on store.google.com. August’s $100 list hike versus last year’s Pixel 10 is already gone.

The Pixel 11’s October Cut Matches an Old Calendar

Deals roundups called the drop rare because the hardware is new. The calendar says otherwise. Google announced the Pixel 11 on August 12 and put it on shelves August 20. Amazon’s fall Prime Big Deal Days ran October 6 through October 7, and the $749 tag showed up on day one of that event.

The Pixel 9 followed the same autumn script. That phone went on sale August 22, 2024, and its first straight cash cut landed on October 7, 2024, about $50 off the 256GB model that also listed at $899. The gap then was 46 days. The gap now is 47. The knife is just heavier.

THE PIXEL 11 PRICE CALENDAR

  1. August 12, 2026: Google unveils Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL with pre-order prices of $899, $1,099 and $1,299.
  2. August 20, 2026: Retail sale begins at the Google Store and partners; 256GB is the new base and there is no 128GB model.
  3. October 6, 2026: Amazon lists the 256GB Pixel 11 at $749 and the Google Store takes $100 off to $799.
  4. October 7, 2026: Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days window is listed through 11:59 p.m. PDT.
  5. October 11, 2026: Google Store unlocked cash-off on Pixel 11 ends at 11:59 p.m. PDT.
  6. October 29, 2026: Elevated Google Store trade-in values on the Pixel 11 series end at 11:59 p.m. PT.

Launch-week shoppers who paid list did not buy a defective phone. They bought the expensive week. Pixel list prices have a short half-life, and October is when the street price shows up.

Amazon Underprices Google’s Own Store by $50

This is the first Google Store cash discount on Pixel 11. It is also the weaker of the two public prices. Amazon’s extra $50 applies across the new vanilla, Pro and Pro XL, while last year’s Pixel 10 is $50 cheaper on Amazon as well.

WHERE THE PIXEL 11 FAMILY SELLS RIGHT NOW

Model Launch list Google Store Amazon
Pixel 11 (256GB) $899 $799 $749
Pixel 11 Pro (256GB) $1,099 $899 $849
Pixel 11 Pro XL (256GB) $1,299 $1,049 $999
Pixel 10 $799 $649 $599

Amazon’s vanilla cut is 17% off list. The Pro XL cut is 23%, or $300, which drops the big phone under $1,000. The Pro at $849 now costs $50 less than the vanilla Pixel 11 did on August 20, a different $50 from the Store-versus-Amazon gap on the same SKU. Google Store terms put $100 off through October 11 on the unlocked Pixel 11, with Pro at $200 off and Pro XL at $250 off.

August’s $100 Hike Is Already Gone

Every Pixel 11 model opened $100 above its Pixel 10 twin. Google also killed the 128GB tier, so the $899 vanilla ships with 256GB and 12GB of RAM, and the 512GB option is $1,019. That storage bump was the public justification for the new floor.

Amazon’s $749 ticket is $50 under the Pixel 10’s $799 starting price, and you get the extra storage, Tensor G6, and a 5x telephoto that the older base model did not have at launch. The $100 August increase lasted 47 days on the unlocked sheet. People who refused to pay the new floor were right about the timing, if not about the phone.

Store math can still beat Amazon if you have a recent Pixel to send back. After the $100 discount, Google quotes the Pixel 11 from $449 with an eligible trade-in, and it cites a $350 estimate when the inbound phone is a Pixel 9. That path is a different product from a clean Amazon checkout at $749, and it runs on Google’s own window through October 29.

What the $749 Pixel 11 Ships With

The hardware did not get cheaper because Google stripped it. You are buying the August phone at the October price, including the thinner camera bar and the first vanilla Pixel with a dedicated 5x telephoto as a carryover from Pixel 10.

WHAT $749 BUYS ON THE PIXEL 11

  • Screen: A 6.3-inch OLED Actua panel at 1080 x 2424 (about 422 ppi) with Smooth Display between 60Hz and 120Hz, up to 2,000 nits HDR and 3,000 nits peak.
  • Chip and memory: Tensor G6 with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS storage, or 512GB with zoned UFS if you pay the extra $120 at list.
  • Cameras: 48MP wide (1/1.56-inch, f/1.7, OIS), 13MP ultrawide at 120 degrees, and 10.8MP 5x telephoto with OIS; Google lists 0.6x, 1x, 2x, 5x and 10x as optical-quality steps, with Super Zoom to 30x.
  • Battery: Typical 4,985mAh (4,840mAh minimum), rated for more than 30 hours, about 55% in 30 minutes on a 30W USB-C PPS brick, plus 25W Qi2.2 Pixelsnap wireless charging.
  • Build and software: Gorilla Glass Victus 2 front and back, IP68, Android 17 with seven years of OS, security and Pixel Drop updates, Titan M3, and dual eSIM on the US unit.

Google’s 6.3-inch Actua display and 25W Pixelsnap spec sheet also lists a 6 by 2.8 by 0.3 inch body at 6.9 ounces. The box has a cable. The 45W USB-C adapter is sold separately. US buyers who still want a plastic SIM should confirm the exact SKU, because Google’s American spec is two eSIM profiles active at once.

The Compact Phone Keeps a 5x Telephoto

Google cut the camera bar’s thickness by 40% versus earlier base Pixels and says a Made by Google case makes the phone sit flat. The 48MP main sensor takes in 56% more light than Pixel 10’s, which is the change that matters for night shots and indoor snapshots more than any Prime Day banner.

The 10.8MP periscope is still a real 5x optical lens, not a crop of the wide camera. Image quality is strongest at 1x and 5x and falls off as Super Zoom pushes toward 30x. Front and rear cameras both record 4K. The Pro models keep the brighter Super Actua LTPO panels, larger sensors, 8K video and 120x Pro Zoom, which is why those phones still cost more even after $250 to $300 off.

Tensor G6 features an upgraded CPU for 25% faster web browsing and 15% quicker app launches. Packing 50% more TPU compute and paired with the latest Gemini Nano model, Google Tensor G6 processes on-device AI tasks up to 3.5 times faster while using up to 3.5 times less energy.

Spencer Boone and Akash Rathi, Product Managers, Google Pixel blog

That pitch is Gemini, not raw graphics. Tensor still trails Snapdragon flagships in long gaming sessions, which is the usual caveat for people who buy a phone as a handheld console. For the rest of the software, Gemini Intelligence is baked into the Pixel 11, and Google is already widening Gemini Call for Me for family contacts, the sort of assistant task Gemini Nano is meant to run on the handset.

Pixel 10 Still Sells for $599 on Amazon

If the job is a good Android camera phone and not this year’s chip, last year’s Pixel 10 is $599 at Amazon and $649 at the Google Store. That is $150 under the new vanilla’s $749 sale price, with a year less of the seven-year clock and without Tensor G6.

Pixel 10a is $524 at both retailers after $75 off. It is the cheaper way into Gemini and Camera Coach if you do not need the 5x camera or the new G6 TPU. The vanilla Pixel 11 makes sense when you want the smaller 6.3-inch body, the telephoto, and seven years of updates that start on Android 17 rather than on last year’s build.

Colors on Pixel 11 are Frost, Pistachio, Hibiscus and Obsidian. Amazon’s $749 listing has been running on the 256GB unlocked phones in those finishes, including the 256GB unlocked Pixel 11 for $749 configuration that showed up as the live Prime Day low.

Up to $460 Comes Back With a Trade-In

Google is boosting inbound values on Pixel 11 purchases through October 29: up to $460 toward Pixel 11, $650 toward Pixel 11 Pro, and $850 toward Pixel 11 Pro Fold. Those caps depend on the phone you send, its condition, and the configuration, so the maximum is not a coupon.

THE STORE PATH VERSUS AMAZON CASH

  • Clean checkout: $749 at Amazon for 256GB unlocked, $50 under the Google Store’s $799.
  • Store plus trade-in: $799 list-minus-discount, then up to $460 back, with Google quoting from $449 when the inbound set qualifies.
  • Carrier add-ons: Google Store pages still advertise Verizon and AT&T financing credits on Pixel 11, which only help if you want those plans.
  • Watch the clocks: Amazon’s event listing runs through October 7 at 11:59 p.m. PDT; Store cash-off on the unlocked Pixel 11 runs through October 11; trade-in boosts run through October 29.

Prices move, and a Prime Day low can snap back when the event clock stops. The Google Store $799 offer is the longer cash window if Amazon’s $749 tag disappears overnight.

The people who already paid $899 in August bought the same cameras and the same seven-year promise. They also funded the seven-week list price. Amazon’s $749 Pixel 11 is the October number Google’s last few vanilla flagships have trained buyers to wait for, and the Store’s $799 sticker plus the October 29 trade-in window is the fallback if the Amazon tile sells out.
