Motorola has launched the moto g77 POWER in India at an effective launch price of Rs 23,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant, with sale starting 13 July 2026 through Flipkart, Motorola.in and leading retail stores. The phone was announced on 8 July 2026.

The handset is built around a 50MP Sony LYTIA 600 camera, a 7,000mAh battery, the 6nm MediaTek chipset and Android 16, all wrapped in a MIL-STD-810H chassis with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i on the front. It is sold in three Pantone finishes: Nautical Blue, Fuchsia Red and Impenetrable. A Jio SIM offer runs alongside the launch, bundling a 15-app OTT pass worth around Rs 1,500 through a Rs 200 monthly plan.

Priced at Rs 23,999 Effective, Rs 25,999 on the Box

The MRP of the moto g77 POWER is Rs 25,999 for the single 8GB + 128GB configuration. A Rs 2,000 bank discount through Axis Bank and HDFC Bank accounts brings the effective launch price to Rs 23,999. The single storage variant is the only one on sale in the country. The pricing puts the phone in the sub-Rs 26,000 segment, where 91mobiles’ launch coverage also places the OnePlus Nord N6 and the iQOO Z11x.

Sale starts 13 July 2026 on Flipkart, Motorola.in and leading retail outlets. A Jio SIM offer runs alongside, with a Jio OTT Pass covering 15 premium apps valued at around Rs 1,500 bundled through a Rs 200 monthly plan. The phone ships in three Pantone finishes: Nautical Blue, Fuchsia Red and Impenetrable.

With the moto g77 POWER, our focus was to deliver a more complete camera experience by combining the advanced Sony LYTIA camera system along with the highest UW and selfie camera, while complementing long-lasting battery life, immersive entertainment, and trusted durability.

The statement is from T.M. Narasimhan, Managing Director of Motorola India, in the official launch announcement. He positioned the g77 POWER as a complete everyday device. The phone runs Android 16 and supports Google’s Circle to Search and Google Gemini. AI-powered RAM Boost can virtually extend the 8GB of LPDDR4X memory to 24GB. The 128GB of internal storage is expandable to 1TB via a microSD card.

A Sony Camera Built Around a 1/2-inch Sensor

The headline on the back is a 50MP Sony LYTIA 600 main sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, 0.8μm pixels and Quad Pixel technology that combines four pixels into one for a 1.6μm equivalent. The 1/2-inch sensor is larger than what 91mobiles says most rivals in the segment now use, with many settling for 1/2.76-inch or smaller. An 8MP ultra-wide lens with a 120° field of view sits alongside the main camera.

On the front, Motorola has put a 32MP selfie camera that the company calls the segment’s highest-resolution front sensor. It supports AI optimisation and switches to Group Mode automatically when held in landscape, so wider group shots fit into the frame. Both rear and front cameras can record video at up to 1440p at 30fps. The 50MP main sensor also records at 1080p at 30 or 60fps with gyro-EIS stabilisation.

AI imaging features baked into the camera app include Portrait Mode, Frame Match, Auto Smile Capture and Super Zoom. Google Photos’ AI editing tools, including Magic Eraser, Photo Unblur, Reimagine, Auto Frame and Edit Photos by Asking, are part of the standard photo workflow. The main camera supports up to 6x high-res digital zoom, per the official product listing.

The official product page for the g77 POWER lists additional shooting modes: Night Vision, Panorama, Pro Mode with long exposure, HDR, Adobe Scan and RAW photo output. The front camera supports Face Retouch, Selfie Animation, Gesture Selfie and a Photo Booth mode. Slow Motion is supported on the rear at 720p at 120fps. The 8MP ultra-wide records 2K video at 30fps. Both rear lenses and the front camera are tied into Google Lens integration for on-device lookups.

A 7,000mAh Battery and a 6nm Chip

Battery is the loudest spec on the g77 POWER’s sheet. The phone ships with a 7,000mAh cell that Motorola rates at up to three days of use under typical conditions. A 30W TurboPower wired charger handles top-ups, and 6W reverse wired charging lets the phone power compatible accessories or other devices. The official product page lists a 33W adapter in the box.

The chip pairs with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, expandable virtually to 24GB through Motorola’s AI-powered RAM Boost. 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage is on board, with a microSD card slot taking it up to 1TB. The GPU is a Mali-G57 MC2.

The g77 POWER supports 13 5G bands, including sub-6 across n1, n2, n3, n5, n8, n28, n38, n40, n41, n48, n77 and n78. Wi-Fi ac dual-band, Bluetooth 5.4 and USB Type-C 2.0 round out the wired and wireless connections. NFC is not included, but FM radio is. A 3.5mm headphone jack remains on the bottom edge.

A MIL-STD-810H Chassis in Three Pantone Colours

The g77 POWER is built around a MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability certification, though Motorola notes the standard does not guarantee ruggedness in extreme conditions. The front is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, which the company says delivers 3x better drop and scratch performance than the prior generation. The body carries an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance.

The display is a 6.72-inch FHD+ IPS LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 120Hz touch sampling rate. Peak brightness hits up to 1,050 nits in High Brightness Mode, and Display Color Boost is designed to enhance visibility in bright sunlight. Smart Water Touch adjusts touch sensitivity so the screen stays responsive with wet hands. The active area touches panel ratio is 90.97%.

Stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and a Volume Boost mode handle the audio. Hi-Res Audio is supported over the wired 3.5mm headphone jack, which Motorola has retained. The phone weighs 215g and measures 8.9mm thick. A side-mounted fingerprint reader handles biometrics, with Face Unlock as a backup. The 2-in-1 Light Sensor combines an ambient light sensor with a flicker detector.

Three Pantone finishes are available in India: Nautical Blue, Fuchsia Red and Impenetrable. The back panel uses a leather-inspired finish on some variants and a PMMA finish on others. The frame is plastic, the front is Gorilla Glass 7i, and the back is glass or silicone polymer depending on the colour.

How the g77 POWER Compares to iQOO and OnePlus Rivals

The g77 POWER lands in one of India’s most cut-throat price bands, the sub-Rs 26,000 segment. 91mobiles’ launch coverage places the OnePlus Nord N6 and the iQOO Z11x in the same slot, both pairing LCD panels with large batteries. The Motorola’s edge on paper is a larger primary camera sensor and an FHD+ display, where the OnePlus Nord N6 is reportedly restricted to HD+. The iQOO Z11x brings a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset, which 91mobiles expects to outpace the g77 POWER’s chipset on raw performance.

The most visible trade-off in the g77 POWER’s spec sheet is software support. The phone ships with Android 16 and is confirmed for an upgrade to Android 17, with three years of security patches. Most competitors in the segment now promise at least two major Android upgrades, against the g77 POWER’s one. The three-year security window runs from launch through mid-2029.

Motorola is leaning instead on the longer battery life and the larger camera sensor to do the differentiation work. The cell and the 50MP Sony LYTIA 600 are rare pairings at this price. The 1/2-inch sensor in particular is something 91mobiles says is “now rarely seen in the segment.” AnTuTu and Geekbench scores from 91mobiles’ in-house testing on the related Moto G37 Power, a phone that also runs on the same MediaTek chipset, were 570,353 and 1,349 multi-core respectively. The g77 POWER is expected to land in a similar performance band, per 91mobiles.

The launch also lines up with Motorola’s strongest run in India in years. According to Motorola’s smartphone market share rise in India, the company’s share rose from 4.6% in Q1 2024 to 8.9% in Q1 2026. That is enough to put Motorola into India’s top five smartphone brands for the first time in years.

How the g77 POWER pairs with the Edge 70 Pro, Motorola’s previous big-ticket launch in India, will also be watched. The two phones sit at opposite ends of the brand’s local lineup, with the g77 POWER taking a similar camera-and-battery trade-off in a lower price band. The Edge 70 Pro went on sale in India in late April 2026 at Rs 38,999 with a 6,500mAh cell and a 5,200-nit display, per how the Edge 70 Pro traded telephoto for battery and brightness. The g77 POWER’s effective price sits well below the Edge 70 Pro’s Rs 38,999 launch price.

One Android Upgrade, Three Years of Security Updates

Android 16 with Motorola’s Hello UX runs out of the box, with an assured upgrade to Android 17 and three years of security patches. The single major OS upgrade is shorter than what some rivals promise, though the security-patch window is in line with peers. The three-year patch window runs from launch through mid-2029.

Circle to Search is built in for on-screen lookups without switching apps. Google Gemini, Google’s AI assistant, is integrated for text, voice, photo and camera-based queries. The standard Google Photos AI editing tools come bundled, including Magic Eraser, Photo Unblur, Reimagine, Auto Frame and Edit Photos by Asking. The full G77 Power launch coverage documents the full AI feature list, including on-device Portrait Mode, Auto Smile Capture and Frame Match.

Security runs through a side-mounted fingerprint reader, Face Unlock, Moto Secure and ThinkShield for mobile. Moto Secure bundles Secure Folder, App Lock, Malware Detection, Phishing Detection, Network Protection and Secure Power-off in one place. ThinkShield and Google Play Protect work together on the data and app side. Smart Connect links the phone with tablets, TVs and Windows PCs across the user’s devices. The 1-year warranty on the handset and 6 months on accessories is handled by Padget Electronics in Noida.
