The phone sits in a new Pine green finish with a light gold frame, yet the overall silhouette matches last year’s model almost line for line.
That sameness is the point of tension. Google is selling software and a glowing LED while the chassis stays put for a third generation, even as Samsung ships thinner folds and Apple readies its own.
Renders Lock In the Same Basic Shape
The images, published via Blass’s Leakmail newsletter, look pulled straight from a Google Store listing. One shot confirms the inner panel measures 8 inches, matching the size Google already claimed as the largest on a foldable for the prior model. The outer cover remains the tall, narrow style Google has preferred since the first Pixel Fold, not the shorter, wider cover Samsung now favors.

The G6 itself continues Google’s foundry shift. After moving Tensor G5 to TSMC’s 3 nm process, the next chip is expected on TSMC’s 2 nm node with a MediaTek modem replacing Samsung’s radio silicon. That Tensor G6 move to TSMC 2-nanometer is meant to cut heat and improve efficiency, the two long-running Tensor complaints.
