Edinburgh, Scotland – Apprenticeship in Hospitality Scotland (AHS) and Hospitality Apprenticeship North East (HANE) have joined forces with City of Glasgow College to deliver their tenth year of the apprenticeship programme. Following a competitive tender process, this collaboration ensures that apprentices receive high-quality education and training, along with access to state-of-the-art facilities and resources.
AHS, launched in 2014, aims to nurture, develop, and inspire the next generation of highly skilled talent for the Scottish hospitality sector. HANE, launched in 2019, follows a similar path. Both programmes offer two-year apprenticeships in either Hospitality Services or Professional Cookery, combining on-the-job training with formal education.
Success Stories
The AHS/HANE programme has been a success story for the hospitality industry, with graduates securing permanent positions in some of Scotland’s finest hotels. Partner hotels include The Torridon, The Royal Yacht Britannia, The Fife Arms, Douneside Hotel, Kimpton Blythswood Square, The Old Course Hotel St Andrews, and Trump Turnberry.
