Introduction
Green Day, the iconic American rock band, is gearing up for a massive gig at Bellahouston Park as part of their Saviors Tour. The concert, scheduled for Tuesday, June 25, promises to draw huge crowds to the park in the southern part of Glasgow. This event marks the band’s return to the city after nearly two years, with their last performance at Bellahouston Park during the Hella Mega Tour in June 2022.
Road Closures
To ensure a smooth and safe experience for concert-goers, Glasgow City Council has announced road closures in and around the park area. These closures will be in effect during specific hours on the concert day:
From 10am on Tuesday, June 25 until 2am on Wednesday, June 26:
- Ardo Gardens: Entire length
- Bellahouston Drive: Between Mosspark Boulevard and Moness Drive (access to Sports Centre open until 21:30hrs)
- Hinshelwood Drive: Between Ardo Gardens and Skene Road
- Mosspark Boulevard: Between Bellahouston Drive and Mosspark Drive
From 9:30pm on Tuesday, June 25 until 2am on Wednesday, June 26:
- Broomloan Road: Between Paisley Road West and Edmiston Drive
- Bellahouston Drive: Between Moness Drive and Paisley Road West
- Dumbreck Road: Between Paisley Road West and the Northbound M77 off-ramp to Dumbreck Road
- M8 off-ramp (Westbound): Junction 23 to Dumbreck Road
- Nithsdale Road: Between Dumbreck Road and Maxwell Drive
- Paisley Road West: Between Helen Street and Edmiston Drive
- Mosspark Boulevard: Between Bellahouston Drive and Corkerhill Road
Additionally, drivers will be prohibited from waiting, loading, and unloading on several roads during the same time frame.
