Detective Superintendent Grant Hendry, leading the investigation from Police Scotland’s Major Investigations Team, extended his condolences to Hope’s family and friends during this devastating time. He assured the public that, at present, there is no evidence to suggest anyone else was involved in the deaths or that there is any ongoing risk to the public.

Hendry urged anyone with even the smallest piece of information to come forward to assist with the inquiry. “Our team of officers continue to carry out inquiries to get answers for the families,” he said. “At this time, we have no information to suggest anyone else is involved.”
