New Aldi Store Expected to Boost Glasgow Southside Neighborhood

A new Aldi store has opened its doors in the Southside of Glasgow, bringing convenience and fresh options to the local community. Located at Crown Street Retail Park in Gorbals, the store promises a wide range of products and a commitment to supporting the neighborhood.

The Crown Street Aldi store spans 1,140 square meters of retail space. Managed by store manager Matt McGarvey and a team of 24 colleagues from the local community, it offers several key features:

  1. Fresh Scottish Meat: Large chillers and freezers are dedicated to fresh, Scottish meat products.
  2. Food to Go: A convenient section at the front of the store offers ready-to-eat options.
  3. Award-Winning Beverages: A fixture along the back wall showcases Aldi’s award-winning beers, wines, and spirits.
  4. Health & Beauty: An exclusive section features health and beauty products.

Specialbuys and Community Support

Customers visiting the store can also take advantage of Aldi’s famous Specialbuys, available every Thursday and Sunday. To celebrate the store opening, Aldi Crown Street is donating groceries to local food banks and community support agencies, providing essential supplies to vulnerable families in the area.

The new store is open Monday to Saturday from 8 am to 10 pm and on Sundays from 9 am to 8 pm.
